Absolute Racing will expand its participation in the Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia at the next race in Suzuka, Japan to include one Audi R8 LMS GT4.

Reigning Audi Sport R8 LMS GT4 Cup champion Anderson Tanoto of Indonesia and 2010 Asian GT4 Cup champion Mark Williamson of Australia will debut the Audi R8 LMS GT4 in the Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia.
Ingo Matter, Team Director of Absolute Racing, added “After having run the Audi R8 LMS GT4 since its introduction in the Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup we are very confident that we will be competitive from the beginning. We are extremely happy to have two former Absolute Racing GT4 champions joining forces to debut the Audi R8 LMS GT4. We can’t wait to get the car out on track at Suzuka.”
The R8 LMS GT4 joins three Absolute Racing-run R8 LMS GT3 cars contesting the Overall, Silver and Pro/Am titles for round three of the championship at the iconic 5.807km Suzuka Circuit from 22-23 June.
Leading the charge for the Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia GT3 Silver Cup title are official Audi Sport Asia drivers Weiron Tan and Martin Rump with Audi Sport Asia Team Absolute, currently fifth in the standings after two podium finishes thus far this season. Cheng Congfu and Sun Jingzu team up again in the #13 Audi Sport Asia Team Absolute entry to resume their Pro/Am campaign as Bhurit Bhirombhakdi and Kantasak Kusiri of Singha Plan-B by Absolute Racing return to defend their third position in the GT3 Pro/Am standings.
Preparations for rounds five and six will begin on Friday with two practice sessions, while the race one and two grids order is determined on Saturday with two 15-minute qualifying sessions per class. The round five will be held on Saturday, beginning at 3.10pm. The round six is scheduled for Sunday at 11.10am (local time).
