The group has acquired a 5,000-square-meter freehold site in Kisarazu, minutes from the Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line and next to Japan's largest premium outlet mall. Absolute Auto Club will combine exceptional cars, membership, hospitality and automotive experiences, with opening targeted for the first quarter of 2028.
KISARAZU, Chiba, Japan — October 30, 2026 — Absolute Auto Group today announced plans to invest up to ¥4.5 billion in the development of Absolute Auto Club, a new automotive destination on Tokyo Bay that aims to redefine the experience of buying and owning exceptional cars in Japan.
The announcement follows the group's completion today of the acquisition of a 5,000-square-meter freehold site in Kisarazu, Chiba Prefecture, strategically located at the gateway between metropolitan Tokyo and some of Japan's leading automotive and leisure destinations.
More than a traditional car dealership, Absolute Auto Club is envisioned as a destination where car retail, hospitality, lifestyle and community come together. Visitors will be able to discover and purchase exceptional cars, enjoy landscaped outdoor spaces, attend events and spend time with fellow enthusiasts and their families.
At the heart of the concept is a membership program that will extend the relationship with customers well beyond the initial purchase. Every customer purchasing a vehicle through Absolute Auto Club will become a member, with access to benefits, services and experiences designed around the enjoyment of car ownership.
The development also represents a significant step in the wider Absolute group's expansion in Japan, creating new opportunities across automotive retail, customer experiences and its established motorsport activities through Absolute Racing.
A Strategic Tokyo Bay Location, Minutes from the Aqua-Line and Haneda Airport
Absolute Auto Club will occupy a prominent site less than two minutes from Kisarazu Kaneda Interchange, the first exit after crossing the Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line from the Tokyo side.
The Aqua-Line provides a direct connection between the Tokyo metropolitan area and Chiba's Boso Peninsula, making Kisarazu accessible to customers traveling from Tokyo, Yokohama and the wider Kanto region.
Haneda Airport is approximately 30 minutes away by car under normal traffic conditions, while highway bus services connect the area with Tokyo Station in approximately 50 minutes.
The location offers access to one of the world's largest metropolitan consumer markets while providing the space and setting for an automotive destination that goes beyond the constraints of a conventional city showroom.
Next to Japan's Largest Premium Outlet Mall, in a Growing Retail and Leisure District
Immediately adjacent to the development is Mitsui Outlet Park Kisarazu, Japan's largest premium outlet mall by number of stores, which expanded to approximately 330 stores in June 2025.
The outlet is a major regional shopping destination, home to some of the world's most prestigious fashion and luxury brands, including Gucci, Loewe, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta and Brunello Cucinelli, alongside an extensive selection of international retailers, restaurants and leisure facilities.
Attracting visitors from across the Tokyo metropolitan area and beyond, Mitsui Outlet Park Kisarazu has helped establish the Kisarazu Kaneda district as a destination for premium shopping and day trips.
The surrounding area continues to attract investment in hospitality, retail and leisure facilities, including plans for further mixed-use and hotel development.
Absolute Auto Club is designed to complement this environment, offering a new attraction for automotive enthusiasts while introducing a different kind of experience to the district's existing visitors.
At the Gateway to Some of Japan's Most Prestigious Driving Destinations
Kisarazu and the surrounding Chiba region have become increasingly important to Japan's high-performance automotive community.
Porsche Experience Center Tokyo, which opened in Kisarazu in 2021, offers driving experiences at a 43-hectare facility featuring a 2.1-kilometer handling course.
Sodegaura Forest Raceway, a JAF-certified circuit, is also located nearby, while farther south in Minamiboso, The Magarigawa Club has established an exclusive private driving destination centered on a 3.5-kilometer circuit designed by Hermann Tilke's firm, known for its work on Formula 1 circuits.
For enthusiasts traveling from Tokyo to these destinations via the Aqua-Line, Absolute Auto Club will sit along a natural route into Chiba's growing automotive landscape.
The location creates opportunities for Absolute Auto Club to connect car ownership with the wider driving culture, while also supporting potential collaborations, events and customer experiences involving the group's motorsport activities.
Beyond the Traditional Dealership: A Place for Cars, People and Experiences
Absolute Auto Club is being conceived as much more than a place to buy a car.
Current plans envisage a multi-story development surrounded by landscaped gardens and outdoor spaces, with dedicated areas for vehicle displays, hospitality, events and community activities.
The intention is to create a destination that appeals not only to car buyers, but also to enthusiasts, friends and families who want to spend time around exceptional automobiles.
A visit might begin with discovering a new car, continue over lunch or an event, and become the start of a lasting relationship with the Club.
Automotive retail will remain central to the business, supported by an initial collection of carefully selected vehicles and a customer experience shaped by the wider group's knowledge of high-performance cars and motorsport.
Absolute Racing's experience in competitive motorsport provides an additional foundation for developing services, experiences and relationships that extend beyond conventional automotive retail.
Every Vehicle Purchase Opens the Door to Absolute Auto Club Membership
A central feature of the project will be the relationship between purchasing a car and becoming part of the Club.
Customers who purchase vehicles through Absolute Auto Club will receive membership, allowing them to participate in a program of benefits, services and automotive experiences that continues beyond vehicle delivery.
The membership concept is intended to build long-term relationships between the Club and its customers, while bringing together individuals who share an interest in exceptional cars and driving.
Further details of the membership program, vehicle offerings, participating brands and commercial partnerships will be announced as development progresses.
¥4.5 Billion Planned Investment, with Opening Targeted for Early 2028
The planned investment of up to ¥4.5 billion encompasses the land acquisition, construction, fit-out and initial vehicle inventory for the first Absolute Auto Club.
Development plans call for a multi-story facility integrating automotive retail with hospitality, landscaped outdoor areas and spaces for members and visitors.
The project is currently targeting an opening in the first quarter of 2028, subject to development and construction timelines.
The Kisarazu project will establish the foundation for Absolute Auto Club as a distinctive automotive retail and community concept, while broadening the commercial activities and customer reach of the wider Absolute group in Japan.
A New Vision for the Automotive Experience in Japan
“Japan has some of the most passionate and knowledgeable car enthusiasts in the world, yet the experience of buying a car has remained largely unchanged,” said Alejandro Vargas, Chief Executive Officer of Absolute Auto Group.
“We want to create something fundamentally different. Not another dealership where you walk in, choose a car and leave, but a place people actually want to visit and spend time in. Somewhere you can discover incredible cars, enjoy the surroundings, meet other enthusiasts and bring your family or friends. And when you buy a car from us, that's the beginning of the relationship, not the end.”
“The location is a big part of what makes this possible. We are right at the first exit off the Aqua-Line, next to Japan's largest premium outlet mall, and on the way to some of the country's best driving destinations. It also allows us to build on what we have developed through Absolute Racing and create new opportunities for the group in Japan.”
“We are not simply building a place to sell cars. We want to build a place that becomes part of Japan's car culture. Something that doesn't exist here today.”
